What's On

Every month we hold two regular events: our taught class and our peer rope event. Both

events are open to all and tickets are available on the door (currently cash only).

Both events take place at Open Space Studios in Hove (Find us)

Taught Class

Fourth Friday of every month, 7.30pm

Our regular monthly class, complete with Beginner's Corner and Improver's Corner.

Our Beginner's Corner covers a full curriculum, including (not all in one session, because

your brain would implode):

- Consent and safety
- Body management
- Negotiation
- Rope handling
- Basic knots and frictions

- Freestyle ichinawa (one rope)
- The kimono tie
- Futomomo
- The TK (Takate Kote)

Don't worry if you're completely new to rope, our Beginner's Corner is designed for you. There is no experience needed and if you don't have your own rope then we can provide some for the evening - you don't even need to come with a partner as we are happy to pair people up!

For more experienced members, we vary the content every month, including:

- New patterns (chest/hip harnesses, futomomos etc
- Exercises for developing freestyle practise
- Philosophy and psychology of rope
- Partial and full suspensions

Tickets £10 OTD

Peer Rope

Second Friday of every month, 7.30pm

Taking place in our beautiful venue, Open Space Studios, our Peer Rope nights are an opportunity for people to tie, practice new techniques and patterns and learn from your peers. It's also a great place to seek advice and socialise with others in the community.

Confident in your ability to suspend? Our venue has 16 hardpoints and we are happy for you to use them, provided you bring your own suspension equipment and can satisfy us that you are able to suspend safely.

(Please note that there will be no formal teaching on these nights. If you are looking for a taught workshop, look out for

our other regular monthly group, which includes teaching both for beginners and more advanced practitioners.)

Tickets £5 OTD
